My Community Unit blog post, "Running Is A Community", is my best piece to show my awareness of audience and voice. It is speaking to the public about my community. It shows my clear voice on the topic of communities and explains what "community" means to me. This piece gets my audience to think about communities in their own lives and what they consider to be a community.
Writing to the public, as far as on a blog, has made me think about my audience more and think about who would be interested in my writing and writing to them. It has helped my growth as a writer to try and be more aware of who would be reading my work and make my work suitable for that particular audience. It has also been challenging because, even though I like to write to the public with blogs more than writing formal essay, I have had to explain my topic more in depth to let the audience know what I am talking about. This is because I am writing to an audience who has no knowledge of what our assignment is, they are just reading a post about a topic that may interest them.
